This is a starting point, not legal advice. It describes how this website is built to handle information. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and makes no claim of compliance with any particular regulation. Have it reviewed against your jurisdiction and your actual practices before relying on it.
The short version
This website works without any tracking cookies. Analytics and advertising tags load only if the corresponding identifier has been configured for this deployment. If a tag is not configured, its script is never sent to your browser at all.
Strictly necessary
- Session storage for attribution. When you arrive, the campaign parameters in the address and the pages you visit are held in your browser’s session storage. This is how an enquiry gets credited to the advertisement that brought you here. It is cleared when you close the tab and is never read by a third party.
- Authentication cookies. Set only for staff signing in to the private admin area. They are not set for ordinary visitors.
Analytics
- Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions, so we can see which pages are used. Loads only when a measurement ID is configured.
- Google Tag Manager loads other tags. Loads only when a container ID is configured.
We do not send your name, email address, phone number or the contents of your message to any analytics platform.
Advertising
- Meta Pixel sets the
_fbpand_fbccookies so that advertising conversions can be attributed to the advertisement that produced them. Loads only when a Pixel ID is configured. - Google Ads conversion tracking records that an enquiry followed an advertisement click. Loads only when a conversion ID is configured.
Where the Meta Conversions API is enabled, the same conversion is also reported from our server. Contact details included in that report are one-way hashed before they are sent, so the platform receives a hash rather than your email address or phone number.
Turning them off
- Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings.
- Browser extensions that block trackers will stop the analytics and advertising scripts. The site continues to work normally, and your enquiry is still received.
- Clearing session storage removes the attribution record. Your enquiry will then be recorded as direct traffic.
Consent
Depending on where your visitors are, you may be legally required to obtain consent before loading analytics and advertising tags. This site is built so tags can be gated behind a consent banner, but no banner is enabled by default. Whether you need one is a question for your legal advisers.
